ALBERTA STAR RE- COMPLETES ITS NEWLY ACQUIRED STANDING CASED WELL AT LANDROSE, SASKATCHEWAN

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA - Alberta Star Development Corp. (TSXV: ASX) (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that the Company has re-completed a standing cased well situated on its Landrose property, located in west central Saskatchewan. The re-completed well was recently acquired in a property swap with a major Canadian oil producer announced in a press release dated May 10, 2011. The Company previously announced that it acquired a 50% working interest in the 240 acres (120 net acres), including the standing cased well, in exchange for the Company’s 50% working interest in petroleum and natural gas rights on 320 acres (160 net acres) of undeveloped lands located in the Golden Lake region of west central Saskatchewan. The re-completed Landrose well is expected to be on production within the next ten days.

The Company’s strong balance sheet is expected to enable the Company to continue to increase it’s production in the oil and gas sector.

The Company maintains a strong balance sheet and is committed to increasing its daily oil production, by selecting and acquiring additional strategic oil and gas properties for acquisition, exploration and then developing these petroleum and natural gas resource assets. The Company plans on increasing exploration and development of its existing petroleum and natural gas resource assets with the view of increasing its daily production with these assets. The Company continues to review and seek to acquire additional strategic oil & gas exploration properties in Alberta, Saskatchewan and as well, is seeking to acquire additional international oil and gas production and exploration projects. The Company will also consider advanced stage base and precious metal property acquisitions and will seek to acquire additional exploration and production resource projects.
